Maybe They Watched 'New Years Eve': Moviegoers Slash Screen at AMC Theater

The vandals left two slashes on the screen after a late-night movie in Port Chester.

Maybe it was Jon Bon Jovi's presence in "New Years Eve" or Jonah Hill's badly-reviewed "The Sitter" that drove moviegoers to anger in Port Chester.

No one can be sure, but what is clear is that some viewers weren't happy when they left the AMC Loews theater in Port Chester last week, and they took it out on the screen.

The theater's manager called the Port Chester Police Department at 9 a.m. Friday morning to report vandalism in Theater 2: In addition to a slash on the lower right portion of the screen, there was a 14-inch slice running through the screen's center, Lt. James Ladeairous said.
