Man Sought in Port Chester Robbery Arrested When He Shows Up in Court

Police: Evrol Thomas wanted to see friends who were scheduled to appear in Port Chester Village Court.

A Bronx man who wanted to see friends who were scheduled to appear in Port Chester Village Court was arrested on robbery charges when he showed up for the Thursday court session, according to Port Chester police.

Evrol Thomas, 20, of 785 Barnes Ave., the Bronx, was charged with first-degree robbery in connection with a incident on Purdy Avenue in Port Chester. A man was robbed at gunpoint in a 12:45 a.m. attack, in which two men have already been charged with robbery.

Police said Port Chester detectives learned that Thomas planned on attenting the Village Court session and were waiting for him. When Thomas showed up, detectives had a complaint against him in-hand and arrested him.

Thomas is accused in connection with the theft of a cell phone and a small amount of cash. Thomas was ordered held in the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla pending a Village Court hearing.

Moron, nothing more or less. It's a shame taxpayers have to pay for that character to reside in a jail cell.
