Man Punches Pregnant Niece Who Objects to His Smoking

Arrest information is supplied by the Port Chester Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

A 47-year-old Port Chester man was arrested last Thursday evening after punching his pregnant niece in the face when she confronted him about smoking in the home, police say.

Donald Wilson, of 42 Palace Place, was charged with third-degree attempted assault.

According to Port Chester Police Lt. James Ladeairous, police received a call at 8:23 p.m. on Nov. 14 that the 20-year-old victim had gone upstairs to ask her uncle, who lived up there, to stop smoking because she was getting sick from the smoke. He became violent and punched her in the face, and when she came back downstairs crying, her mother went upstairs and he punched her, too, according to police.

Said Ladeairous: “He admitted to punching them but he said it was because they were annoying him.”
