Man Arrested Following Late Night Fight on N. Main Street

Police arrested a 20-year-old man for disorderly conduct after a fight broke out in front of La Dolce Vita at 3:45 a.m. on Sept. 8, Police Lt. James Ladeairous said.

When police responded to the call of a dispute in front of the bar, they saw a man lying in the middle of the street causing traffic to stop, Ladeairous said. People were trying to move him but he was being uncooperative. Once the man got up he repeatedly got into the officer’s “personal space” while his id was being checked, which lead to his arrest for disorderly conduct.

Another man who had been involved in a fight sitting on a sidewalk nearby refused to tell police who was involved and would not cooperate with the investigation.

He also refused medical attention and told police his friend would drive him to Bridgeport Hospital. The police report did not provide information on his injuries, Ladeairous said.
