Mamaroneck Women's Wallets, $400 Missing After Port Chester Shopping Trip

Police: 70-year-old reported items missing during visit to Marshalls.

A 70-year-old Mamaroneck woman on a shopping trip to the store in Port Chester on Tuesday says that two wallets that contained $400 and credit cards were taken from her shopping cart while at the store, according to Port Chester police.

Police said the woman reported she had placed the wallets in her shopping cart and later had placed clothing items on top of the wallets. When the woman went to pay for her items around 5 p.m., police said she discovered the wallets were missing from the shopping cart.

The wallets also contained personal papers, police said.
