Illegal Treats: Man Cited for Selling Cookies in Port Chester Without Permit

NJ man hit with violation of village law after warning.

A New Jersey man was cited for violating Port Chester village law by selling cookies from a local parking lot without a permit.

Police said the 23-year-old Jersey City, NJ, man was spotted selling cookies at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Kohl's department store parking lot. A village police officer found the man did not have a required village permit, and the man was told to stop selling cookies and to move along.

Police said the same man was spotted later selling cookies in the parking lot of the Port Chester Stop and Shop supermarket at 3:40 p.m. This time, he was issued a ticket.
