A Harrison man stopped for speeding on North Main Street in Port Chester has been charged with drunken driving, according to Port Chester police.
Jeffrey Buschel, 24, of 70 Post Place, Harrison, was stopped at 3:45 a.m. by a village police officer. Police said Buschel appeared intoxicated and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
However, police said a check of state Department of Motor Vehicles records showed that Buschel's driver's license had been suspended for a DWI-related incident. As a result, police said Buschel was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony.
Buschel faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
