GPS Units, Tools Stolen In Car Thefts

Port Chester police are asking for tips after the Grandview Avenue thefts.

Police are investigating a series of car break-ins on Grandview Avenue this week.

Officers were called to the Grandview area early on July 8, where two people told them their cars had been broke into and ransacked. A drill, a GPS unit and a phone charger were stolen from one car, and a Sony monitor and a Stanley level were taken from another, Lt. James Ladeairous said.

Officers found a third car that had been opened and located the owner, who said a GPS unit was missing.

Police are asking anyone with information on the break-ins—or anyone who has been victimized in a similar crime this week—to call them at 914-939-1000.
