Front Door Smashed at Hope House in Port Chester

Vandals smashed the front door of in Port Chester.

A smashed glass door was discovered as the facility was openind for the day at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Port Chester police.

The vandalism took place sometime after closed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Police said there was no other damage at the facility and it does not appear that anyone tried to enter the building.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

HOPE House describes itself as a place where people recovering from mental illness find the support and resources they need to pursue their goals and dreams.

The clubhouse program focuses on the abilities and talents of members. Together, members and staff operate the club which is open 5 days a week, 9-5 and evenings and weekends for special events.
