UPDATE (1 P.M. FRIDAY): Shashi Rodriguez has returned home and she is safe, her family said this afternoon.
Rodriguez had been staying with a friend in Queens and was able to take mass transit to get back home, according to her mother, Ana.
A former Port Chester family now living in Yonkers is seeking help locating a young woman who has been missing since Tuesday.
Shaqueena "Shashi" Rodriguez is 18, about 5-foot-5, 135 pounds and has a tattoo behind her right ear of music notes on a staff, a purple cancer ribbon on her right wrist, a baby on her right inner foreram that says baby angel, and on her right hipbone of a Cuban flag.
She has coppery blondish hair with black roots. Her mom, Ana Rodriguez, said Shashi has long had health issues and suffers from bouts of depression.The family, which moved from Port Chester in 2010, now lives in Yonkers and has not hear from Shashi since about 9 p.m Tuesday.
