Port Chester firefighters were able to contain the fire from spreading.

Port Chester firefighters contained a minor fire at a laundromat Friday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to 137 Willett Avenue at 2:51 p.m. for a report of a two-alarm fire.

A preliminary investigation identified a drier in the laundromat as the likely origin of the fire, Lt. James Ladeairous of the Port Chester Police Department said.
