Fire on Haseco Avenue...

The Port Chester Fire Department quickly extinguishes a fire at a two family home.

This morning the Port Chester Fire Department responded to a fire at 120-122 Haseco Avenue. The cause of the fire was determined as electrical within the walls of the two family duplex style home. There were multiple violations. The building was evacuated and deemed unsafe for residents to return to their homes. The Red Cross and the Village have set up the Port Chester Senior Center as a shelter for those who are displaced from their homes. Residents are permitted to go into the building to obtain their property but can’t reside there until the Port Chester Building Inspectors complete the investigation. The owner of the property has been notified and will be served with violation notices.
