Fight in Party Limo Leads to Assault Charge in Port Chester

Stamford, CT, man accused of biting fellow passenger.

A corporate party in New York City did not have a happy ending for several participants who ended up in a fight in a party limo that stopped in Port Chester early this morning, according to Port Chester Police.

As a result, Robert Carroll Robertson, 32, of 154 Cold Spring Road, Stamford, CT, was charged with third-degree assault.

Police said they received a call at about 1:23 a.m. today about a dispute in limo on Grace Church Street at Purdy Avenue. When a village officer arrived, a 27-year-old Mercer Island, WA, man complained that he had been bitten on the right arm by Robertson and he wanted him arrested.

The Washington State man, who told police the group in the limo had just been at a corporate party in the city, was taken to Greenwich Hospital for treatment of the bite. Carroll was arrested and he faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
