Driver Charged with DWI after Near-Miss with Port Chester Police Car
Police: Texas man drove into parked car.
A Texas man was charged with drunken driving after he narrowly missed a head-on collision with a Port Chester police car and then slammed into a parked car, according to Port Chester Police.
An investigation of the 3:14 a.m. Sunday incident, police said, found that Josue Paredes, 23, of Houston, TX, was also driving without a license and had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
Police said a village police officer had to swerve to avoid being hit by a Toyota driven by Paredes. After the near-miss, police said Paredes struck a car owned by a Connecticut driver.

Paredes was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and was cited for driving with a cracked windshield. Police said no one was injured in the incident.
Paredes faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
