A Connecticut man stopped for a traffic violation at Westchester County Airport has been arrested on charges in connection with a stalking incident in Port Chester more than eight years ago, according to Port Chester Police.

Urvelt Cayo, 53, of 169 Noroton Ave., Darien, CT, was stopped by Westchester County Police at the airport and discovered that he was wanted by Port Chester Police on a warrant issued in 2004. Cayo was brought to Port Chester Police Headquarters, where he was charged with second-degree stalking.

Port Chester Police Lt. James Ladeairous said the charges stem from an investigation that led to the warrant being issued in July 2004. Ladeairous said a Port Chester woman, at the time, complained that she was receiving harassing telephone calls at work from Cayo and was being followed by Cayo.
