Cross-Dresser Throws Cake, Steals Brownies at PC Deli, Police Say

Police caught the suspect with muffins in his purse.

A 22-year-old Bronx man dressed as a woman allegedly threw a tray of coconut cake across the counter at One Station Plaza Restaurant, breaking a full coffee pot, and then stole two brownies and a muffin on Aug. 17, police said.

The owner called police who found the man, who the owner had described as a woman wearing blue shorts and a black tank top, on the south side of the train platform eating a brownie, Police Lt. James Ladeairous said. As police approached her he told them to “go ‘f’ yourself” several times, Ladeairous said. Police arrested him for causing a disturbance and brought him to the restaurant where the owner made a positive identification. They also saw a brownie and a muffin in his purse, Ladeairous said. The man was additionally charged with criminal mischief and petit larceny, both misdemeanors. Ladeairous said police did not suspect the suspect was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, but had a bad attitude.
