Couple Caught Shoplifting


On Sunday, January 5th at 12:23pm a male and a female were at Stop & Shop at 15 Waterfront Pl in Port Chester, when store security noticed that they put items into a brown purse, that were not paid for. They did however pay for their other items, said Lt James Ladeairous, of the Port Chester Police Department.

Store security stopped them and found that there were toiletry items in the brown purse that were not paid for which totaled $52.  Store security called the Port Chester Police.

Rafael Rivera, 61, of 422 North Main Street, Port Chester, NY and Jacqueline Hall, 49 also of 422 North Main Street, Port Chester, NY were both charged with petty larceny, which is a misdemeanor, according to Lt. James Ladeairous of the Port Chester Police Department.
