[UPDATE] Driver Falls Asleep, Car Hits Building in Port Chester
No one injured in accident on Grace Church Street at Fox Island Road.
A White Plains man fell asleep behind the wheel of his car early this morning and crashed into a building a the corner of Grace Church Street at Fox Island Road, according to Port Chester police.
The 31-year-old driver of a 1998 Toyota minivan told police he lost control of the car as it turned on to Fox Island Road. Police said the accident at around 4 a.m. was not drug- or alcohol-related.
The building at 103 Grace Church St. sustained minor damage. Police said a window was cracked and a fence was damaged. The driver was not injured.
