Burglary Reported on Poningo Street

Woman says cash, jewelry stolen.

A resident of Poningo Street to Port Chester police that someone entered her room in a first-floor apartment and stolen cash and jewelry.

Police said the incident was reported about 9 p.m. on Wednesday. The victim told police that she left her room about 7:30 p.m. and returned about 8:30 p.m. to find a window in the bedroom open.

The victim reported that cash, gold chains, gold rings and gold bracelets were taken. In addition, the 49-year-old woman told police that her passport and other ID were taken.

No arrests have been made in connection with this incident, police said.
