Drunken Burglary Attempt Ends in Arrest of Port Chester Man

Arrest information is supplied by the Port Chester Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Port Chester police at 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 10 arrested a drunk man who was caught by a homeowner after trying to break in through a bedroom window.

Luis Cabla-Vizhco, of 23 Poningo St., was charged with tenth-degree criminal trespass.

According to Port Chester Police Lt. James Ladeairous, Cabla-Vizhco tried to enter a West Street apartment through a bedroom window, but when the occupant of that room—a boy—started screaming that someone just pushed him, the accused ran off. The boy’s father, the homeowner, saw him running and gave chase, catching up with Cabla-Vizhco and holding him until police arrived, Ladeairous said.
