Boston Post Road Accident Leads to DWI Charge
Police: New Rochelle Man arrested in Port Chester.
A New Rochelle man was charged with drunken driving after an early-morning accident on Boston Post Road in Port Chester, according to Port Chester Police.
Rachid J. Hadi, 23, of 35 Calton Lane, New Rochelle, was involved in a two-car accident near the McDonald's restaurant in Port Chester at 3:57 a.m. on Sunday, police said. No one was reported injured in the accident.
Police said that as they were investigating the accident between a Jeep driven by Hadi and a 2011 Nissan, they found Hadi standing near the Jeep and discovered that he appeared intoxicated.

Hadi was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
This was one of three DWI-related accidents in Port Chester early Sunday. Just about an hour earlier, police said that five cars were damaged in a suspected DWI incident on Prospect Street in Port Chester and just a few minutes before that there was a near-accident that involved a suspected DWI on North Main Street.
