Abendroth Avenue Disturbance Leads to Arrest in Port Chester

Police: Intoxicated Brooklyn man would not stop yelling and screaming.

A 19-year-old Brooklyn man was charged with disorderly conduct after a disturbance on Abendroth Avenue, according to Port Chester Police.

A village officer came upon a group of five people on Abendroth Avenue at about 5:52 p.m. Thursday. Police said members of the group were yelling at each other, and the officer told the group to move on.

However, police said one member of the group, the Brooklyn man, would not stop yelling. The man crossed the street and continued to be disorderly, police said.

When the village officer asked the Brooklyn man to stop yelling, police said the man responded by asking the officer for money. When the officer refused to give the man money, the Brooklyn man then asked the officer to give him a job.

Instead, the officer cited the Brooklyn man for disorderly conduct, a violation. The Brooklyn man now faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
