$550 Cash, GPS Unit Stolen From 2 Cars In Port Chester

Thefts reported in different locations.

A Port Chester woman and a Tarrytown woman say they were victims of car break-ins, according to .

The village resident told police that someone smashed the front passenger window of her 2004 Saturn and stole a GPS unit. The car was parked on Eldridge Street about 8 p.m. on Monday and the theft was discovered about 6:15 a.m.

On Monday, a 34-year-old Tarrytown woman said she stopped in front of 360 Westchester Ave. to delivery newspapers at about 6:40 a.m. However, she told police that when she returned to her car she discovered that $550 had been stolen from the car's center console.
