No Handicap / Stroller Access at PC Station!

My husband and I used to live in the city, then moved to Rye (renting), fell in love with the area and decided to buy in Port Chester.  One of the reasons we like it so much here is that we are walking distance to the train and can easily go to the city or Rye or Greenwich without taking  the car.  We now have a baby girl and I decided to take her out in her stroller yesterday to Rye, her first train ride.  I got on the train with the stroller via the ramp and enjoyed the day in Rye, shopped along Purchase Street, had lunch, etc., then took the train back from Rye to PC, and discovered there are NO RAMPS on that side of the station!  How is that even legal?  There are 4 sets of stairs. Surely one of them can be converted to a ramp for stroller / handicap access.  I had to carefully and slowly push the stroller step by step down the stairs while three strangers offered to help me.  If I were handicapped I would be even more livid.  I truly don't understand how PUBLIC transportation is allowed to not have handicap access.  It seems to me that this is a major problem at the PC station.  What can be done about this?

I would like to add that I enjoy taking my baby for walks regularly along Westchester Ave and Main Street, I will have lunch at Tarry Market or Bar Taco, etc... I even have a moms group that meets at Bar Taco occasionally with our babies.  I think PC is a GREAT destination for other moms with strollers but we are losing the potential business to our shops and restaurants if there is no stroller access for visitors who come by train!

And then there is the issue of attracting people to live here.  Many couples (such as my husband and I)  leave the city and move to Westchester when they want to start a family because they want more space but still want an easy commute.  People who live in the city are used to walking everywhere and taking the subway and trains.  I felt PC was perfect for us, but now with the issue of not being able to take the stroller off the train when returning from the city, I am extremely disappointed.  Had I known this before we bought our home, I might have seriously reconsidered purchasing here.

If anyone reads this, please let me know where I can go to try to get something done about this problem.
