Letter to the Editor: Race for Mayor in Port Chester

Former store owner supports candidate Neil Pagano.

As the election gets closer, it can be difficult to get a clear understanding of who the candidates are and what they stand for.  The information that is typically available does not always provide an in depth representation of the candidate, leaving questions as to the true character and qualifications that each candidate may possess.

I am fortunate to know one of the candidates running for mayor and would like to share my perspective with you.  This is not a short term perspective since I have known Neil Pagano for over twenty years.  I see this as an advantage having the opportunity to see a person’s true character over that course of time.  Throughout the years of knowing Neil, I know him to me a fair and honest person.  Neil has demonstrated time and time again that he stands up for what he believes to be right and fair.

Neil’s qualifications in real estate, insurance, city planning and all his civic endeavors has provided him with the breadth of knowledge to handle a wide range of challenging scenarios and situations that will confront him as mayor.  I am confident that his character and qualifications is what makes Neal that the mayoral office needs.

As a citizen of the Village of Port Chester, I want to know that our mayor will be a person that puts our village and citizens first.  Please take this letter as an honest depiction of the candidate whom I feel, will be the best choice for mayor in the coming election.  Please vote for Neil Pagano.
