Letter to the Editor: Race for Mayor in Port Chester

Former store owner supports candidate Neil Pagano.

As the election gets closer, it can be difficult to get a clear understanding of who the candidates are and what they stand for.  The information that is typically available does not always provide an in depth representation of the candidate, leaving questions as to the true character and qualifications that each candidate may possess.

I am fortunate to know one of the candidates running for mayor and would like to share my perspective with you.  This is not a short term perspective since I have known Neil Pagano for over twenty years.  I see this as an advantage having the opportunity to see a person’s true character over that course of time.  Throughout the years of knowing Neil, I know him to me a fair and honest person.  Neil has demonstrated time and time again that he stands up for what he believes to be right and fair.

Neil’s qualifications in real estate, insurance, city planning and all his civic endeavors has provided him with the breadth of knowledge to handle a wide range of challenging scenarios and situations that will confront him as mayor.  I am confident that his character and qualifications is what makes Neal that the mayoral office needs.

As a citizen of the Village of Port Chester, I want to know that our mayor will be a person that puts our village and citizens first.  Please take this letter as an honest depiction of the candidate whom I feel, will be the best choice for mayor in the coming election.  Please vote for Neil Pagano.

This March 19, Port Chester residents will elect new leadership of the BOT. Mayors and members of Boad of Trustees shall be elected that day. It would be very important for residents to vote for the best proposal that day. Therefore, we need to be informed about what their work plans and vision are for the Village of Port Chester. In this regard, it is important that community organizations in Port Chester organize a debate or forum between candidates for mayor. This debate or forum can be divided into some themes: 1 Security Issues in Port Chester. 2 Economic development in Port Chester. Every choice is crucial to improve the town, but we must be informed and to evaluate the best option for the village. Hopefully the candidates can to agree to a debate or forum - Juan Allase

I am supporting Pagano and the REPUBLICAN ticket in this election. WE need responsible, smaller government. Look at what Dictator Cuomo is doing to this state! Rise up and revolt against the Marxist Democrats.

The time is now for the Republicans to make their move. We need less government and responsible leadership. I am sick and tired of paying for over paid unions and government workers. Let them pay their FAIR SHARE. Look at what the Marxist in the White House is doing to us! 17 trillion in debt and counting.
