Ruth "Toots" Coupe, 94, Lifelong Port Chester Resident

 Ruth A. Coupe, fondly known as "Toots and Mom Mom" 94, died January 14, 2014. She was born April 8, 1919 in Port Chester, NY to the late Casper and Margaret Roth.

A lifelong resident of Port Chester/Rye Brook, Mrs. Coupe lived her entire life on Woodland Avenue in Rye Brook. She graduated from Port Chester High School in 1936 and was married October 10, 1941 to John "Lou" Coupe on Woodland Avenue, Mr. Coupe died June 17, 1994.

Ruth was a secretary, avid gardener, passionate baker, lifelong member of Saint Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and friend to many.

Mrs. Coupe is survived by her devoted daughter Ruth Anne Cosgrove of Port Chester, grandchildren; Susan Anne Cosgrove and husband Gary Sullivan of Port Chester and Kevin Cosgrove and wife Maggie of Windsor, Ct, great grandchildren; Sydney, Daphne and Scott Sullivan, her brother Edward Roth and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brothers Alfred, George, Robert and Walter Roth and sisters Margaret Kutka, Helen Neil, Mildred Dunphy and Catherine Ruth.

The family will receive friends today 10:00AM at Saint Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church 761 King St. on the corner of Comley Ave Rye Brook, NY

Funeral Service will follow at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY.

At the the request of the family in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the PCTA Scholarship Fund c/o King Street School 697 King St. Port Chester, NY 10573 or St. Paul's Lutheran Church 761 King St. Rye Brook, NY 10573
