Obituary: Funeral Today for Charles Melillo, Who Died at Age 27

Lifelong Port Chester resident was an emergency medical technician, volunteer firefighter.

Charles Melillo of Port Chester, an emergency medical technician and volunteer firefighter, has died at age 27.

Born Feb. 4, 1985, in Port Chester, he was a lifelong Port Chester resident and a graduate of Port Chester High School. He was an EMT with Empress EMS and with Harrison EMS.

Mr. Melillo is survived by his parents, Shari Melillo of Port Chester and Charles Melillo of Stamford, CT, his brother Nick Melillo of Port Chester, his grandmothers, and, three uncles.

Calling hours were from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Craft Memorial Home, 40 Leicester St., Port Chester.

A funeral service is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Church, 22 Don Bosco Place, Port Chester, followed by burial in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Rye Brook.

Memorial donations may be made to: Harry Howard Hook and Ladder Co. 1, P.O. Box 1513, Port Chester; or, to Harrison EMS, 2 Pleasant Ridge Road, Harrison; or, Westchester Vengeance football team, 60 Harding Ave., Yonkers.

Charlie will be missed so much. I've had the honor of working with him as both a Firefighter and him responding to the scene as an E.M.T. He was a giver, not a taker. He will missed by my entire family.

You will forever be in my heart and prayers. My cousin, my friend, I Love You and will miss you so much. I know you (and poppy) will be looking down on the entire family. The world will never know another you.
