Mary G. Blancato, 92; Worked As Office Manager for Safe Flight Instrument for 48 Years

Mary G. Blancato, 92, a resident of Greenwich, Ct. and formerly of Port Chester died May 4, 2014.

She was born July 6, 1921 in New York City to the late William and Ina Cockburn McLean. She was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School.

She was a active and devoted member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Greenwich and a volunteer at the Bruce Museum. Mrs. Blancato was an office manager for Safe Flight Instrument Corp. at Westchester County Airport for 48 years and worked up until January of this year.

She is survived by her sons Richard Blancato and his wife Marie of Greenwich, and Kenneth Blancato and his wife Karen of Beverly Hills, CA, and grandchildren Alan and Andrew Blancato.

Mrs. Blancato was the widow of James V. Blancato who was the principal of King Street School of the Port Chester School System.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday May 7, at Craft Memorial Home, 40 Leicester St. Port Chester, NY (914) 939-0131. 

A memorial service will be announced at a later date and interment is private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may made to 1st United Methodist Church of Greenwich 59 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich, CT 06830.
