John R. Cotte, 79, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died October 12, 2013. His family was EVERYTHING to him, and he is ours-and that will forever be in our hearts.
He was born September 30, 1934 in Port Chester to the late Raphael & Caroline Zirpolo Cotte. Mr. Cotte graduated from PC High School & served in the US Marine Corps in Korea attaining the rank of Corporal. He was married on May 1, 1960 to Nina Fama at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester.
He was a hairdresser for over 50 years having been at Montage Salon in Mamaroneck for the past 20 years. Mr. Cotte was a devoted parishioner and former trustee of Holy Rosary Church. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus & the P.C. Yacht Club.
Mr. Cotte is survived by his wife Nina Cotte, his children, Lisa Cotte LoMonaco & husband Joseph, John M. Cotte & wife Debra, Jill Cotte Giunta & Christopher M. Cotte & wife Stella, grandchildren Brandon & Taylor LoMonaco, J.D. & Christina Cotte, John & Zach Guinta & Lyla Cotte. His sisters Jeanette Bucci & husband Anthony & Rosemary Forsberg & husband Larry, & Sal Barrese, many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Pauline Barrese.
Visitation will be 5-9PM on Wednesday October 16, 2013 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Thursday October 17, 2013 at The Holy Rosary Church 22 Don Bosco Place Port Chester, NY.
Interment to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Rosary Church 22 Don Bosco Pl. Port Chester, NY 10573 or to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital 1275 York Ave. New York, NY 10065
