Betty Heil, 100, a resident of Suffield, Ct. and formerly of Port Chester died January 6, 2014. She was born December 9, 1913 in Greenwich, Ct. to the late Stephen and Mary McKary Blakesley.

 

She was educated at St. Mary's Grammar School and graduated from Port Chester High School. She was married to Robert L. Heil who died in 1963. Mrs. Heil was a secretary for Delaware Ribbon Manufacturing in NYC. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church and a charter member of the OLM Senior Club.

 

Mrs. Heil is survived by her nieces Kathleen Remington and husband Bruce of Suffield, Ct. and Peggy Dunleavy and husband George of Oxford, Ct. and nephew Michael Smith and wife Medelyn of Greenwich, Ct. and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her niece Nora Smith.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM on Monday January 13, 2014 at Our Lady of Mercy Church 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY.

 

Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be to Suffield Ambulance Corps. or to the Suffield House Recreation Dept.
