a nonprofit organization, you know how important it is to connect with
your local community. At Patch, we know you can't truly serve your
community unless you provide the help it needs most. That's why giving
back is so important to us.
We promote the causes that are important to you—and highlight ways the community gives—in a dedicated space for Volunteering, Giving Back and Good News stories on the sites. We also donate advertising space to charitable organizations and contribute our own time as volunteers through a program we call “Give 5.”
Everyday, thousands of your neighbors turn to Patch for local news, information and conversation. Our audience cares about social causes close to home, they volunteer, and they're active with organizations where they work and live. Why not reach them and share more about your organization?
Maybe you’re a volunteer with the local food pantry and want to share news about a holiday food drive or perhaps you’re involved with a youth program you wish more people in the community knew about. No matter what organization is close to your heart, there’s a place for it on Patch.
We’re calling all:
American Legion groups
Organizations that benefit local causes
Girl Scout/Boy Scout Troops
Part of the Patch mission is to strengthen communities and improve the lives of residents, but we can't do it without you. Our blogging platform allows members of the community—from cooking enthusiasts to local politicians and everyone in between—to interact and post directly to the site. These posts then appear on the homepage, in the daily newsletter and are shared by editors via Facebook and Twitter.
The best thing about sharing your stuff on Patch is it's your space so it's your rules. Write as frequently, or infrequently as you'd like. Short or long, essay style or a quick how-to. Blogging on Patch is a great way to share your opinions with the community and get your voice out there.
