How to Celebrate Earth Hour 2014 This Weekend

Will your town go dark this Saturday, March 29?

Millions of people across the world are expected to turn off their lights for an hour this weekend in celebration of Earth Hour.

The annual event, which is organized by the World Wildlife Fund, aims to engage "a massive mainstream community on a broad range of environmental issues."

It encourages residents and businesses to shut off the lights for one hour, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time this Saturday, March 29.

How to Participate

Easy: turn off the lights for an hour! But that's not it—here are other ways to get involved.
