Go Blond, Go Short, or Just Go Pink at Magnolia Salon Sunday

The Port Chester Council for the Arts is hosting a breast cancer research fundraiser to coincide with the start of their 2013 summer productions of "Legally Blond, The Musical" this weekend.

The event, Go Short, Go Blonde, or Just Go Pink is a ponytail drive tomorrow, July 21, and a campaign to ask for donations for breast cancer research until July 28.

The Ponytail Drive will take place at Byram, Ct.'s Magnolia Salon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 21. People are asked to donate their ponytails for breast cancer patients. One hundred percent of the salon's hair cut and blow out proceeds will go to the cause. Also, all cancer survivors will receive a free makeup application during the event.

A minimum of eight inches is required and no permanently colored hair will be accepted. You can call 914-403-7909 or email pccfasummershow2013@gmail.com for more information or to sign up to donate.

Monetary donations can be made payable to The Port Chester Council for the Arts, 211 South Ridge Street, 3rd Floor, Rye Brook, NY, 10573. Or, you can donate at the Legally Blond show to be held at Rye County Day School on July 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. and on July 26 and 27 at 3 and 8 p.m.
