Garcia’s At the Cap to Host PC Dog Park Fundraiser

Dina Goren, representing the Port Chester Dog Park group, announced that Garcia’s at The Capitol Theater will be sponsoring a fundraising event to raise money for the group to build a dog park in Abendroth park. The event will be on Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. until closing and Garcia’s will be donating a portion of their proceeds to the Dog Park.

So far, the group has raised about $7,000 offering portions of fence for sponspership and through holding fundraisers at local events like Port Chester Day and at last weekends Dog Park Extravaganza, where $2,000 was raised in one day, Goren said. 

They are talking to businesses about sponsorships and are hopeful they will reach their goal more quickly now that funds have started coming in.
