Voices Cafe 2...4...1

2...4...1 at Voices Cafe. We're trying something new for Voice's Cafe:  2 bands ... 4 the price of ... 1 ticket!

The first set features Roosevelt Dime. To listen (http://rooseveltdimemusic.bandcamp.com) to the music of Roosevelt Dime is to take a journey through American
roots music. Inspired by Appalachian string bands, Memphis soul, New Orleans Dixieland, and the musical melting pot of Brooklyn which they call home, the band has forged a sound they've come to call Steamboat Soul.

The second set kicks off with Poor Old Shine, and I do mean KICKS! Their music (http://pooroldshine.com/videos.html) is rooted in the folk/Appalachian Mountain tradition and has been
compared to The Band, John Prine, and Johhny Cash. Don't be surprised to see some combination of guitars, washboard, banjos, pump organ, string bass, mandolin, musical saw, drum set and who knows what else they will come up with on stage.
