Sex and the Text

These evenings will address the misuses of the Bible to perpetuate hate, intolerance and ignorance.

Ancient stories and
how we hear and use them today.

Reverend Bruce Baker of All Souls Parish / Presbyterian Church in Port Chester, Rabbi Jaymee Alpert of Congregation Kneses Tifereth Israel in Port Chester, and Reverend Jim O’Hanlon of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rye Brook are excited to announce their new adult education class: Sex and the Texts.

This 2 session, interfaith class will discuss homosexuality in the Biblical text and context, as well as the current position of the Presbyterian and Lutheran Churches and Conservative Judaism.

Please join us for what is sure to be a fascinating and groundbreaking conversation on October 17 and October 24, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Congregation Kneses Tifereth Israel, 575 King Street, Port Chester, New York.
