This is just ridiculous already. I have seen at least 5 such events as this posted on patch. My problem with these posts is that in the case as well as the 5 others I have seen are posted on patch the day the event is to occur. SCORE has been around for quite awhile. So why the last minute posting on patch that this event is occuring today? I read this earlier and felt compelled to comment. Patch is contacting me all the time trying to get me to advertise and pay to advertise through patch yet simple community postings come in the day of the event or after the event has passed. Why is this happening? Let's not blame the providers of the info either. Come up with a good answer and even better a solution. It is a waste of time for me to read about events that have gone by because it is then too late to participate or enjoy or partake in them. As a business man I can't just drop what I am doing today and run over to the event. As far as I can remember the last two or three times I say a SCORE event through patch it was posted on patch the day of the event.

Another thing i noticed. While logged onto patch and seeing my Pending Approval post above this comment box I decided to look on the right hand side of the screen. There are two sections. One is labeled "SEE MORE ON PATCH" and the other is labeled "MOST POPULAR EVENTS". I clicked on every single link under both of those sections and everyone of them took me to a page that talks about a past due event. Where are the new events that have not passed? What about upcoming events? Those events that have passed should be behind some kind of Archive Events page or link. Leaving room for upcoming events. Another gripe is the fact that about 50% of the webpage I am viewing is covered with adds. Two big boxes on the right in between the Most Popular Events and See More on patch. Then another bog add below this commenting section and a 4th ad at the top right. Of course there is also the banner ad. So the only thing I can use on this entire page is the past due event and two sections on the right, that is all there is on the right to click on, with past due events in them.

Amazing no response from Patch. Now I know why the patch seems to be basically useless.
