There will be a food drive for those in need after Hurricane Sandy. Non-perishable food items and bottled water can be dropped off at the Port Chester Senior Center in the rear of 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester - Tuesday 11/6 – Saturday 11/10 from 9am – 4pm. We will be distributing donations to people in need in the area. So many people are in need and this is just a small way we can come together and help. Any donation big or small will be welcomed and very much appreciated.

In regards to your other comments, I urge you to give it a little time to get used to. The little bell at the top right of the page has a red circle with a number in it to tell you that someone has commented or interacted with something you have done so you should be able to go there and see exactly what is going on in the places where you posted. The issue is two fold. First, our property values are not as strong as our neighbors, so our homes have a higher levy in order to fund the schools. Second, and more important, is that the reliance on property taxes slams moderate income communities like PC. We need for the state to move to an income tax to fund schools. Scream at your legislators ... not the BoE.
