Letter to the Editor: Port Chester Woman Supports Astorino and Gelfarb

I urge the voters in Harrison, Rye Brook and Port Chester to re-elect County Executive Rob Astorino and Legislator David Gelfarb on November 5. Finally we have down to earth, bi-partisan leaders who get the job done for the property tax payer.

I have seen for myself how Astorino and Gelfarb have reached out members of every group in our community to hear our concerns and make it easier for us to stay in their homes. Our main issue should not be a surprise: taxes, taxes, taxes.
I can tell you that Astorino and Gelfarb not only get it, they have delivered on their promises to stop the county from taxing us out of our homes.

When I heard that the latest Marist poll shows 64% of residents think that the county is moving in the right direction, I knew why. Astorino and Gelfarb ran on platforms to stop the tax madness and they kept their promises. With 30% of residents saying that taxes should be the priority of the next County Executive, you could not find a better champion of the tax payer than Astorino.

He and Legislator Gelfarb led a bi-partisan coalition of legislators to pass the 2013 county budget that held the line on taxes. They have been relentless in ending the tax insanity and promoting economic growth. No wonder the county has created over 27,000 new private sector jobs since Astorino and Gelfarb were elected.Re-elect County Executive Astorino and Legislator Gelfarb on November 5.

Sincerely,

Linda E. Turturino
