Young Motocross Rider Winning Big, Honoring Sandy Hook

A Newtown, Ct. boy with Port Chester roots took first place at a motorbike racing contest two weeks ago and honored the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Damian Buccieri won the Echo Valley MX  riding his bike, and has won six of his seven races this year. His proud father Christopher Buccieri, son of Port Chester's Silvio Buccieri, shared more information with Newtown Patch which we have reposted here:

"Damian won his first championship at Milford Riders Club three years ago at the age of 6," said Christopher. "He finished #2 in the championship in the MSC series in upstate New York last year. This year he is the series points leader and on his way to winning the the championship in the 6-9 60 cc class. He wants to win this championship for the families of Newtown."
