The storm that slammed Westchester and knocked out power to thousands of county residents with its high winds and heavy rains Tuesday night took down at least 10 trees and damaged one car in Port Chester.
Port Chester police said a 1998 Honda Civic was hit by a tree and sustained significant damage on King Street. The northbound lane of the road was blocked by the incident.
At least three power lines were knocked down in Port Chester during the storm, but police and Con Ed reported there were no significant power outages in Port Chester from the storm and that power had been restored by Wednesday morning to the few customers affected.
Port Chester firefighters said the storm, however, did not create any other significant problems in the village, although there were some local street flooding conditions reported.
