Question of the Day: Can Ethics Reform End Corruption in Albany?

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is the latest in a long line of politicians who have pledged to clean up New York State politics.

From charges of corruption against former state senators Pedro Espada Jr. and Vincent Leibell, to federal indictments against former Republican majority leader Joe Bruno, New Yorkers have witnessed a parade of scandals, resignations and embarrassments in state government.

Elected officials have been caught taking kick-backs, falsifying travel stipends, and even lying about living in the districts they're supposed to represent.

Now, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is and says he's trying to deliver on a central campaign promise – cleaning up Albany. Cuomo's got the backing of local state representatives, including Assemblyman George Latimer, whose district includes Port Chester.
