Police: Port Chester Teen Robs New City Man at Gunpoint

The gun turned out to be fake but the 14-year-old alleged bandit was charged as an adult, police said.

A 14-year-old Port Chester boy was arrested for allegedly robbing an 18-year-old New City man at gunpoint near Rec Park in Port Chester on Sunday, July 21. Orlando Villa, the 14-year-old, was with two other teenagers when the New City man tried to walk away from a deal the two had made on Facebook, according to Port Chester Police Capt. John Telesca. The victim was there to buy an iPhone 5 Villa advertised on Facbeook for $500. When the man decided not to go through with the deal, Villa allegedly pulled a gun and said “give me your money anyway,” Telesca said.

The victim gave Villa his money and then called police. Detectives found Villa and charged him as an adult with second-degree robbery, a felony. Yesterday, July 22, detectives found the two other suspects, Antonio Villa, 19, and Bryan Acevedo, 17, both of Port Chester, and arrested them on the same charge. All are being charged as adults.

When police found the older Villa and Acevedo, they also recovered the gun, which turned out to be a fake "cap pistol," Telesca said, that looked like a real gun.
