Police: Port Chester Woman Pushed Through Glass Shower Door

Port Chester man accused in attack at Nicola Place home.

A Port Chester man is charged with attacking a woman at a home on Nicola Place and violating a court-issued order requiring him to stay away, according to Port Chester Police.

A 29-year-old Port Chester woman was injured in the 12:48 p.m. incident on Sunday, which police said included the woman being pushed through a glass shower door in her home.

Village police officers went to Nicola place to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. When they arrived, officers were met by a woman with a 2-year-old child and she was indicating she had been attacked by a man who was driving away in a pick up truck.

Police stopped the man, Carlos Diaz Aquino, 35, of Port Chester, and questioned him. Aquino, police said, told officers he had gone to Nicola Place to speak with the mother of his child.

Police found that a court order had been issued against Aquino to stay away from the woman, and that he does not have a driver's license. Police said an investigation found the victim had been attacked and pushed through the shower door, resulting in a cut on her left upper arm.

The victim was taken to Greenwich Hospital for treatment. The child was not injured.

Aquino was charged with criminal contempt, a felony, second-degree strangulation, and unlicensed driving. He faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.

Linda T., I would guess Mrs. Brakewood lives in Port Chester if she is running for the Port ChesterRead More Board of Ed. Even if the schools had to impose an austerity budget, your taxes would still go up. The state has more control in these matters than you think.

Linda, the per pupil expenditure in PC schools is the lowest in Westchester and Rockland countiesRead More ... by about $2,000 per student. The issue is two fold. First, our property values are not as strong as our neighbors, so our homes have a higher levy in order to fund the schools. Second, and more important, is that the reliance on property taxes slams moderate income communities like PC. We need for the state to move to an income tax to fund schools. Scream at your legislators ... not the BoE.

I am concerned there is not enough attention to detail in the BOE budget overall and Mrs. BrakewoodRead More comment about keeping taxes affordable ... where does she live ? they are out of control and in my opinion the money we pay for taxes we should have the best looking schools anywhere ... just my opinion
