Gas Main Break in Downtown Port Chester

Firefighters have been called to the scene.

Traffic on North Main Street has been reduced to one lane as authorities respond to a gas leak.

Firefighters and utility workers were called to 400 North Main Street at 2:15 p.m. They remain on the scene at the site of previous construction. Traffic at the site -- east of the police station, near the Greenwich border -- is bottled up due to the response. Drivers should find an alternate route if possible.
