Forecast: More Rain, Thunderstorms

Rainshowers and thunderstorms could deliver another inch of rain, prompting flood warnings from the National Weather Service.

The rain claimed the weekend, but the start of the workweek won't bring any relief from the relentless showers and humid weather, according to forecasts.

Temperatures will peak at a mild 74 degrees today, but the humidity gauge will continue to climb as storms sweep through the area, National Weather Service forecasts predict.

For Port Chester and the remaining lower Westchester area, that means more rain through the afternoon with the possibility of thunderstorms. The rain will continue into the night, with the possibility of more thunderstorms after 9 p.m.

In addition to a "hazardous weather outlook," the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch, warning of today's precipitation adding to existing moisture in the ground, "creating the potential for localized flash flooding across most of the tri-state this evening."
