Coat Drive Benefits Kids Near and Far

The Children's Collective is taking donations until tomorrow to help needy young ones brave the winter.

Help a local charity outfit kids for the cold winter weather ahead by donating a coat to the Children's Collective. The non-profit's coat drive continues today and Tuesday, with drop-off locations in Port Chester and Rye:

The Children's Collective needs you to clean out your closets and book shelves!

What they need–Winter coats and clothes, summer clothes, children's books K through grade 7.

Deliver them to Dollar Cleaners on Midland Ave Port Chester, Pink Deux Rye Ridge Shopping Center by November 14 or Resurrection Church basement on November 15.

Summer clothes should be put in closed bags marked Senegal. They will be going to Orphan Children of Africa.

Winter items will be delivered to homeless shelters, transitional housing facilities and Head Start programs in Harlem, the Bronx, Yonkers and Bridgeport.

Books will given to Promise Academy–a charter school in Harlem.
