18-year-old Arrested for DWI in Port Chester

Police arrested an 18-year-old Port Chester girl for driving while intoxicated after she hit another car into a tree at 12:30 a.m. on June 28 on Willet Ave., police Lt. James Ladeairous reports.

A witness to the accident followed the girl as she left the scene of the accident and called police. They found the driver on Willet Avenue driving a 2003 Volkswagan that had heavy right front damage, and in which both airbags had been deployed, police said. They smelled alcohol on her breath and the girl told police she had a few beers earlier.

She had a cut on her nose, complained of a knee pain and was bleeding so police sent her to White Plains hospital.
