Carver Center’s A-Chord with Kids

Carver Center’s A-Chord with Kids Program released a video today showcasing how the program exposes young kids to music. A-Chord with Kids was started in the fall of 2012 by two Rye Country Day School sophomores, Austin Weber and Chase Goddard, as a way to expose children to music and a variety of instruments that they would otherwise not have access to. The completely volunteer run program met every Saturday morning for eight weeks and paired each of 20 enrolled children with high school music students eager to share their love of music. Eric Rios, After School Program Assistant, praised the program’s volunteers saying, “the kids see the passion that you guys bring here and it ignites that passion in them.”
