Neri's Bakery- A Port Chester Treasure

There are a lot of bakeries around but, Neri's Bakery has been in business in the Village of Port Chester for 104 years and still has lines out the door and down the block on holidays.

Neri’s Bakery has been a part of Port Chester for over a century.  It first opened in 1910 by Paul Anthony Neri who first came to Port Chester after migrating here from Reggio Calabria, Italy.  Neri’s Bakery is a family business that is now 104 years old and going strong.

Neri’s Bakery first opened up on Beech Street in Port Chester, then moved to Wilkins Avenue and finally to Pearl Street where it is currently located. Neri’s sells both wholesale and retail.

“We have grown in our retail store greatly. Holidays are extremely packed with lines out the door and down the block,” said Brett Neri, Human Resources/Operations/SQF Practitioner.

Neri’s Bakery retail store sells all freshly baked Italian goods. Everything is made with real ingredients, no artificial preservatives, real eggs, and real milk.

Neri’s wholesale division has two components; one being the Bagel division and the second division are the Breads. In the Bagel division, the bagels are the specialty item and in the Breads, the rolls are the specialty item.

On the retail end, for sweet items, the pastries, and cannoli’s are top sellers, and to round off the sweets the Tres Leches Cake, which is made with three types of milk is another top choice of customers.
